Lincolnshire Wolds
The Lincolnshire Wolds is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty and has some of the highest ground in Eastern England stretching to 500 feet.
the area is renowned for it's walking and cycling and was the inspiration for
many artists and poets most notably Alfred Lord Tennyson.
Mrs Smiths Cottage
Lincolnshire (Navenby)
Mrs Smith's Cottage Lincolnshire was built in the mid nineteenth
century. It is a very simple early Victorian brick built cottage. The only
modern innovations are an inside toilet, cold water tap and electricity.
The range, the heart of the house, was in daily use for cooking and
heating until the mid 1990's. The only access to the bedrooms is by a
simple ladder.
The Cottage is named after its last resident, Mrs Smith,
who lived there happily and independently until 1995, when she was 102 years

Gunby Hall
Impressive wood-paneled interior. Walled gardens parading traditional
English flowers, fruit and vegetables Tennyson described it as a 'haunt

Gunby Hall is also noted for its thatched cottage c.1770 built
to provide accommodation for estate workers and notable for its mud and stud
walling. Gunby Hall, Whitegates Cottage Lincolnshire. This is one of the few
mud and stud Lincolnshire Cottages which is open to the public and has
recently been restored

Boxer as target practice. HMS Boxer was only half through its operational life
as it sunk to the bottom of the Atlantic. This is an online home for all
