Visiting Historic Houses in North
Lincolnshire
Northern
Lincolnshire and the Lincolnshire Wolds has an embarrassment of riches in
the form of market towns. From Barton in the north to Caistor, Brigg,
Horncastle and Louth you will find delightful brick pan tiled Georgian
terraces and cottages.
Of
course every market town has a manor house and there are numerous halls and
mansions scattered around each one many in private residence. Here though,
we will focus on the Halls and historic houses which are open to the public
in North Lincolnshire and take a look at some of Englands finest stately
homes a little further to the south.
Whilst
visiting our historic treasurers (including windmills and 2 castles) make
sure you take in our beautiful market towns especially the elegant three...
Louth, Horncastle and Alford each known respectively for food, antiques and
crafts. Then head out onto the Lincolnshire Wolds (especially by bicycle or
walking) and discover picturesque villages and take in the graceful vistas
and tranquility of the rolling hills of "Poacher Country"
Below
is a list of some of our closest historic houses and we look
forward to welcoming you to All Seasons. We will be delighted to help plan
your itinerary to make the best of your visit, just email your dates and we
will do the rest...........
